Through Excelsior's dual enrollment partnership with local community colleges, our students may take advantage of reserved courses and guaranteed enrollment tuition-free! We assist the student with the enrollment process and guide them in selecting the appropriate coursework. This is a great way to get a head-start in completing required general education college courses while saving thousands on future college tuition and material fees.
At Excelsior, we believe that all students can achieve. Dr. David Berliner, author of “The Manufactured Crisis,” states that “When children have strong visions for their futures, they achieve more; hope is a major predictor of learning.” We believe that education is an investment in the future. Failing to plan for that future is planning to fail. The same is true for every student. Just “getting a diploma” isn’t good enough. They need to have a plan (and a backup!) for their future, and they need the skills to achieve it.
Excelsior is pleased to announce a new partnership with Victor Valley Transit, which now provides FREE transportation for all Excelsior students on VVTA’s Fixed and County Routes! Victor Valley Transit service area includes the Victorville Main, Victorville North, Phelan, and Barstow campuses! So blessed to have my child at this school. The staff here go above and beyond for their students.
This is a new school here in Highland, but I know Excelsior from Victorville. This is a smaller site and I understand because it is a newer site. I like that my kids will be safe here because of the staff and Dr. Strikwerda, the principal. I see also that they have taken a lot of time to ensure that the students are secure while on campus. I also like the course offerings, especially for my 7th grader, and they really seem to student be engaged on the campus with clubs and field trips. Time will tell if this campus will have the positive impact on the community as I think it will. So far, I and my students are satisfied......
My Experience was wonderful throughout my high school years. The teachers are wonderful. They really care about your achievements.
The teachers genuinely cared about the students and wanted us to succeed. They were reasonable about the assignments and tests and were willing to fix any mistakes they made.
I like excelsior I get to be independent and learn at my own paste. I love their dance program and all the teacher are so helpful. I also like that I get to choose which classes I want to take in person. The in-person college classes make me feel so prepared for that part of my life.
We hear daily from our vibrant and active parent community that they'd wished for a school like Excelsior when they were young. We understand, Excelsior's blended program includes on-campus classes, live
synchronous virtual classes, and independent study to give students a balance of autonomy, guidance, and support to ensure their success.
Give your child access to A New Standard of Academic Excellence and World-Class Learning for the 21st Century at Excelsior Charter Schools.
